There was a time when making babies was considered the sole function of an adult woman. Such woman never had any problem staying at home taking care of the baby expecting the husband to earn enough for the entire family.

Well, women do not like to see themselves as baby making machines any longer. Of course, procreation is an important task but a woman’s life has a lot more than just babies. In such a scenario, it is natural for career oriented and ambitious woman to feel that the task of bringing up the infant is an extremely demanding and complicated task.

Such thoughts often create a lot of guilt because the new mother believes that she should be completely devoted to the baby. When the desire to rejoin the career and earn money shows up, young mothers often finds it difficult to manage without feeling overburdened with guilt.

Well, stop taking so much stress about something that is completely natural. If you have studied very hard during college just to get a good job and if you have taken away from your highly enjoyable job to give birth to the child, it is natural to feel the desire to restart the job as early as possible.

Just because you want to get back to work and move further in your career does not make you a bad mother. In any case, the infant is least bothered whether you have such thoughts in your head or not. As far as the baby is concerned, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. Hence, stop taking stress about such a small issue. Give yourself a few days to find out whether the desire to start work again goes away on its own.
